James Farnsworth is senior program associate for the Community Equity Program/Public Policy at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation. He also serves as the part time executive director of the Highland Business Association. Previously, he worked in various other roles in non-profits, state government, and the private sector.
Farnsworth serves on the board of directors and governance committee of CAPI, an immigrant and refugee support organization. He also serves on the board of trustees of the Friends School of Minnesota, a K-8 school in St. Paul. In addition to board service, Farnsworth is actively involved as a year-round advisor and volunteer with the YMCA Center for Youth Voice.
Farnsworth has completed coursework in human resource development in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He lives in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of St. Paul.
