James Farnsworth serves as the executive director of the Highland Business Association. Previously, he worked in various other roles in non-profits, state government, and the private sector.
Farnsworth serves on the board of trustees of the Friends School of Minnesota, a K-8 school in St. Paul. He also serves on the board of directors of the Highland District Council and as a member of the St. Paul City Council Audit Committee. In addition to governance service, Farnsworth is actively involved as a year-round adult advisor and volunteer with the YMCA Center for Youth Voice.
Farnsworth has completed coursework in human resource development in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He lives in St. Paul.
