Kodi Verhalen is a Partner in the Energy practice group of Taft Law. She is also licensed as a professional engineer in Minnesota. Prior to practicing law, Verhalen was a permitting analyst at Great River Energy.
Verhalen served as co-chair for WineFest No. 25 - A Toast to Children's Health, an event to raise funds for pediatric research for the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. She has been involved in organizing fundraising events for pediatric research and patient/family services at the hospital since 2013. Verhalen has previously served in various leadership roles, including as a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Environmental, Natural Resources, and Energy Law Section Council; national director for Discover Engineering; president of the National Society of Professional Engineers; director for the Minnesota Professional Engineers Foundation; and president of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers.
Verhalen received a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering, with minors in chemistry and environmental engineering, from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law).
